After a successful and rigorous content validation phase, we at Fisdap are excited to announce the release of the new AEMT Readiness Exam 1 (ARE1).

The exam contains 200 multiple-choice questions that have been reviewed by at least 3 subject matter experts and a board certified Emergency Medicine physician. It covers the depth and breadth of the AEMT curriculum and was piloted by over 1,400 students over a 2 year period.

All Fisdap comprehensive exams offer a positive predictive value (PPV) of success on the NREMT certification exam-- usually about 97% students who pass our comprehensive exams at a given cut score pass the NREMT on the first try.

Expert EMS educators who reviewed the exam items suggested an Angoff cut score of 71%. While the PPV for the suggested cut score is extremely high and indicative of success on the NREMT certification exam on the first attempt, we will release the exact value in the near future. To help us establish and maintain a stable PPV, please submit your students’ NREMT results here.

Students can gain access to the AEMT Readiness Exam 1 by purchasing our AEMT Comprehensive Exams for AEMTs for just $25. Students have 2 attempts at the AEMT Readiness Exam, and the exam must be delivered to students in a secure, proctored environment.
