By flipping the classroom, educators shift from the role of lecturer to the roles of guide and facilitator, allowing for a more student-centered learning environment.

The following student-centered resources are included in the EMT Flipped Classroom:

1) Virtual Mentor Lectures

Highly engaging video lectures clarify a specific, complex medical topic using engaging standup lectures, live patient cases, animations, and compelling photos and illustrations.

2) Challenge Scenario Handouts

*In-Class Activity

Students gain experience in a safe environment and strengthen their problem-solving skills as the instructor guides them through multi-issue Challenge Scenarios.

3) Student Scenario Handouts

*Pre-Class Assignment and In-Class Activity

Using a detailed template, students design their own challenging scenarios to potentially act out in class with the Student Scenarios. 

4) Scenario Role Cards

*In-Class Activity

Scenario Role Cards assign parts for every student to perform during the Challenge Scenarios and Student Scenarios to ensure that no one sits back on the sidelines.
