After completing this course, the practitioner will be able to:

• Identify patient safety events
• Recognize the steps to improve patient safety reporting
• Discuss unsafe conditions that could contribute to patient care errors and adverse events
• Demonstrate safe and effective adult, pediatric, geriatric, and bariatric patient handling techniques

Practitioners who successfully complete the Patient Safety (EMS Safety 3e BLS/ALS Edition) course are eligible for 0.5 hours of continuing education through CAPCE.
