The EMT Entrance Exam with Enhanced Security was created by and for EMS educators and is different from other entrance exams because it is unique to EMS and includes a personality assessment.

This exam features two sections: a cognitive test and a personality inventory to test students' affective domain.

• Cognitive Test. The cognitive portion measures student preparedness in the following subjects: Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Math, and Medical Terminology.
• Affective Test. The affective test utilizes an adapted form of the General Scale of Self-Efficacy, a valid and reliable psychometric scale that assesses ability to deal with new obstacles or setbacks and respond to novel or difficult situations.

This exam also assures a secure testing environment with recording features and locked-down browser features.

• Recording features: Video, audio, and screen and web traffic recordings are made during exams, and if abnormalities are detected, the Fisdap Test Security team will review them.
• Locked-down browser features: During exams, downloads are blocked, right-clicking is disabled, a desk scan is required, the browser is locked down (force full screen, no other applications open, no secondary monitor, and print and clipboard capabilities disabled), and validation and authorization from the proctor are required for reentry if kicked out of the exam.
• Verification of Identity: Student ID is required for all exams to verify the identity of each student who sits for an exam. This is to prevent impersonation and ensures that the person receiving the score is the one who earned it.
